Family relations are tricky matters to deal with especially when it comes to meeting the so-called expectations of married kids and their spouses. This woman took to Reddit to share how her son-in-law and daughter came to her house and asked her to set up a room for their soon-to-be-born child.

Taken aback, a woman asked what they meant by that. To which the son-in-law, Tom responded that he expected the grandparents to set up a room for the newborn even if it meant that the woman would have to accommodate her teenage son into another room to make that extra space.

Clear on her stance, the woman politely declined her daughter and son-in-law and told them it is not possible since she has no extra space in her house and it won't be possible for her to set up a whole new room given the constraint of finances.

The woman shares that she knows she did the right thing and she has no mind on compromising on this, however, her husband is mad at her and simply asks her why did she treat her own daughter like that?

Internet labeled the OP NTA.

Reddit not only labeled the OP NTA but also called out her daughter and son-in-law for having absurd expectations from grandparents and how does it make sense to kick out her own child to make space for someone else's child.
