A woman's first date refusal to dine at The Cheesecake Factory has gone viral.

The video, shared on TikTok by Monique Santos, who clarified she was not the woman featured, has amassed over 2.8 million views, sparking a frenzy of reactions.

In the footage, the woman is seen in the passenger seat, visibly disapproving as they arrive at The Cheesecake Factory.

Her date, attempting to be chivalrous, suggests he'll come around to open her door.

However, she locks the door, firmly shaking her head and finger at him, then rolls down the window to express her disappointment.

"This is The Cheesecake Factory," she says.

"This is a chain restaurant. Who takes someone that looks like this to a chain restaurant?"

Despite filming the entire interaction, her sweet date was ready to get back in the car and discuss the situation.

He explains: "I went into the date with expectations for myself - to keep you safe, to respect you, to pay for your food, to pick you up - and just treat you like a gentleman."

He then expresses his own expectations for a first date, including respect and cooperation.

"Which I believe I have done."

He revealed that it wasn't there original plan, as she was an hour late getting ready, causing them to miss their reservation, making The Cheesecake Factory their last-minute choice.

Unimpressed, the woman interrupts, questioning why another restaurant wasn't chosen, emphasizing her reluctance:

"Isn't there another restaurant you can call that is equivalent to that?"

"I will die, that's embarrassing."

The man ends the conversation by adding:

"Maybe we are not right for each other so respectfully I'm going to just drop you off at home."

The woman, still filming, turns to the camera, incredulously asking, "Ladies can you believe this?"

Another commented: "He's right for doing that. He communicated properly, was respectful, and knows his worth. I also love The Cheesecake Factory."
