After feeling unwell, TikToker @conniewaters31 texted her boss to ask if she should take a second Covid-19 test before coming into the workplace. Waters is a medical assistant working in a doctor's office, which makes her boss's lack of understanding over her genuine apprehension about reporting to work with Covid-19 symptoms all the more perplexing.
Woman Shocked When Boss Accidentally Sends Trash-Talking Texts About Her
'I woke up this morning with literally no voice and my throat is on fire and my head is KILLING me,' she wrote.
Waters' boss first answered, asking her to 'bring the negative result' into work the next day, but she was taken aback when she received another text from her boss minutes later that was not intended for her.
'For f***s sake!! Already trying to get off work. Her FB pics over the weekend didn’t look like she was sick,' read the sh*t-talking text intended for her boss's husband, along with a screenshot of the text sent by Waters.
Waters went on to say that she tested positive for Covid-19 the next day and that she'd been out of work recently due to a miscarriage.
Waters' experience has astounded her fans, with one remarking, "That seems like a call to HR."
'How dare you have fun on the weekends and after work,' another joked, with a third person writing, 'That’s how getting sick works, you’re fine one day, and the next day you don’t feel well. It’s not rocket science.'
Waters stated in a follow-up video that she quit her job immediately after receiving the text, revealing an equally harsh exchange of messages between her and her boss.
'Good luck finding somebody to fill that position because I'll be there tomorrow to get my things and that's it,' she wrote, to which her boss apologized while emphasizing her issue over missing many days of work.
'I have because I got married I had a honeymoon and I had a MISCARRIAGE and I’ve been sick,' Waters shot back, before rejecting her boss's request for a phone call, telling her, 'Why? I have nothing left to say.'
