Moving a bit away from her usual routine, she decided to go for her first-ever giant steak challenge.

With a remarkable 96 ounces of steak, plus 10 ounces of onion rings, fries, and a salad to conquer, she was at Cattleman's in North Yorkshire, bracing herself for an enormous task.

"I'm doing something that is completely out of my comfort zone. This is the first giant steak challenge that I have done in my entire eating career", she said.

The challenge at Cattleman's was no small feat – a colossal 96 ounces of steak.

Alongside this daunting main course were sides of fries, onion rings, and a salad, presenting a formidable array of food to be consumed.

She was particularly intrigued by the challenge book at Cattleman's, a record of every attempt since 1985, detailing each participant, the date, and the amount of food left uneaten.

Under the rules of the challenge, participants have one hour to complete the entire meal.

The top two records were around 17 minutes, with Randy Santel, a well-known competitive eater, completing it in just under 20 minutes.

"I really wish that venues would do this now and would just record everybody that attended the challenge and how far they got."

"It's really interesting to see"

She was determined to make her mark and possibly even surpass these records.

To participate, a booking 48 hours in advance, and a deposit were required.

The cost was £40 unless completed within the hour, in which case it was free.

Successful completion meant a place on the Wall of Fame, while failure resulted in a spot on the Wall of Shame.

As she prepared to start, she set a timer and shared her thoughts and excitement with her audience.

She acknowledged the challenge's size and her nervousness but also expressed her eagerness to dive in.

With the challenge underway, she found the steak cooked to perfection, aiding her progress.

Despite the size of this giant task, she strategically worked her way through the steak, while continuing to comment on the effort required and the technique she employed.

In the end, her effort paid off.
