After living in your home for three years, you might believe you’ve explored every corner and crevice.

However, one TikToker has shown that you could be mistaken.

Podcaster and life coach Julia Henning revealed a shocking find in a post on the platform.

She explained that she made the discovery while cleaning her closet.

Typically, the worst thing you might uncover in that situation is an awful piece of clothing you’re embarrassed to have worn.

However, Henning's discovery was far more unsettling.

Henning called attention to a small latch on her closet floor in her video.

She pulled on it, and it raised a section of the floor to reveal a steep spiral staircase that descended into the shadows underneath.

Henning wrote beside the video: "I was cleaning the closet and decided to invesitgate [sic]. This is what I found… should I go in?"

The idea of finding some more storage space may have thrilled some, but it didn't exactly excite the majority of spectators.

"That's called a Nope and I would hire professionals to investigate," one person wrote.

Another added: "Nope. Put boxes over it and forget about it."

Despite the numerous suggestions for Henning to vacate the house and seal off the space permanently, the TikToker chose to face her fears and investigate the mysterious hole further.

She documented her exploration in a series of videos, one of which featured her inviting a medium to assess the situation and provide their perspective.

It's likely no surprise that the medium felt 'uncomfortable' about descending into the room.

"That’s probably her survival instinct telling her to get off those sketchy ass stairs," one person responded after seeing the clip.

Henning eventually made the decision to investigate the area on her own. There, she discovered a side wall made entirely of bare concrete, while the other wall had wooden shelves and what appeared to be a wine rack.

Additionally, there was some handwritten writing on the wall that had a name. Is it possible that they are still there?

Although the area might be used for storage or even transformed into a stylish wine cellar, would it really be worth it to face with any potential horrors that might be lurking there?

Team 'board it up' is how I feel about using the space. Just being safe is preferable.
