Women Are Actually Having To Be Told Not To Stick Herb Balls Inside Themselves

#1 The Herbal Womb Detox Pearl is an all-natural vaginal cleanings solution that's supposed to "cleanse the womb and return it to a balance state."

Despite looking like a spice ball you add to a hearty soup, these vaginal herb packages are marketed with some weird, heady talk about the importance of a woman's womb:

"The womb is the sixth elimination organ for women. The womb is not only a vessel for bringing in souls to the physical plane, but also a vessel that can hold on to emotional, physical, and spiritual trauma and pain."

#2 The company that makes the pearls, Embrace Pangea, offers different types of vaginal herb balls, like "tightening the vagina".

#3 But it turns out that jamming these things into your body is probably not the best idea in the world, according to gynecologist Dr. Jen Gunter.

In her blog post, Gunter refutes Pangea's "proof" that the pearls are working. The proof you ask? Photos of vaginal discharge you probably don't wanna see.

"The vagina makes excess discharge when there is A) irritation B) infection C) an absence of good bacteria," she said. "This discharge isn't some toxic swill that the vagina was hiding that only the "pearls" could release, it's a sign that these 'pearls' are damaging."

So according to the good doctor, Embrace Pangea is only really offering proof that these vaginal pearls are definitely not working.

#4 Still wondering what you should be putting up your vagina for "balance"? Nothing, really.

"Here's my vaginal pearl leave it alone, it's not exactly sentient but it can cope very well without any meddling." - Dr. Jen Gunter.
