McClure didn't have any money to repay him that night, she promised she would return to pay him. McClure returned to the roadway where Johnny lives several times with her boyfriend. She repaid him for the gas, gave him a jacket, gloves, a hat, and warm socks, and few dollars every time she sees him.

She added, "Please help this man get into a home. It is already getting so cold out in Philadelphia, and I can’t imagine what it will be like to be out there all winter. Any little bit will help."
She is raising money to get an apartment for Bobbitt and paying for necessities like food, clothing, cellphone, and a vehicle.

McClure said Johnny has “more than a few ideas of where this money can go.”
“He is fully aware of the worldwide interest in this over the last few days,” she wrote. “It will be his decision and his decision only on what organizations and or private parties he decides to help!!”
