World's Longest Living Conjoined Twins Have Died Aged 68

#1 The brothers passed away on July 4 following a short spell in a hospice

Ronnie and Donnie Galyon passed away at the Hospice of Dayton, in Ohio, USA. The two were the world's oldest living conjoined twins and passed away at the age of 68.

The brothers spent the last decade of their life living with their brother Jim where more than 200 local volunteers stepped forward to help build to build an extension on his house.

According to WHIO, Jim said: "I am grateful to the community for what they did to help Ronnie and Donnie move into their house.

"This allowed them to live with their family for the last 10 years."

#2 They were conjoined from the abdomen

The brothers who were conjoined from the abdomen started working in circuses and carnivals to earn for their family and retired in 1991.

In 2014, the twins entered the Guinness World Records having surpassed the lifespan of conjoined twins Chang and Eng Bunker as well as Giacomo and Giovanni Battista Tocci, who was born in Italy in 1875 and lived until they were 63.
