The individual with the most piercings in the world as of 2019 has 11,003—and she's not done yet.
In 1997, Elaine Davidson, 56, a current resident of Edinburgh, underwent her first skin piercing.
She is now the body piercing record holder in the Guinness World Records.

She currently holds the record with 11,003 body piercings as of January 2019 and continues to obtain more.
Her hands, breasts, chin, hands, genital area, both internal and external, and forehead are among the many body parts she has pierced.
She keeps changing and upgrading her face jewelry, and she also enjoys decorating with vibrant makeup and hair feathers.

When a Guinness World Records representative initially checked the former nurse, who is of Brazilian descent, in May 2000, she had 462 body piercings total, including 192 on her face.
The rings and studs, which Elaine says weigh about three kilograms, are never taken off.
She claims that she sleeps easily with all of her jewelry on and that body piercing is not uncomfortable.

Despite this, she admitted in 2009 that she just gets her ears pierced so that she can maintain her title.
“I don't enjoy getting pierced, but to break the record you have to get to a high level,” she said in February 2009, when she had 6,005 piercings.
“I wanted to break the record.”

“My family don't even like tattoos or piercings.”
Elaine is a multitalented woman who, according to her website, walks on fire, sleeps on a bed of nails, and rests on broken glass.
She has a black belt in judo as well, which she obtained in Japan.

The record holder also likes horse riding and adventurous sports like skydiving.
Elaine views her work in the Guinness Book of Records as both a responsibility and a dedication, and she takes it very seriously.
She doesn't drink, do drugs, or smoke cigarettes in part because she wants to maintain her complete focus.
