The duo were starry-eyed for each other in a sweet selection of shots showing that roses mean love in any language.
The squirrel can be seen hanging upside-down from a branch, the rose clenched tightly in his grasp.
Below, his love peers up into her partner's eyes, before climbing up the rose to unite the love nuts.

Throughout the year, Max and his children shoot the critters in a number of amusing poses, enticing the squirrels to their scenes with a number of tasty treats.

Max said: "The tree in which the squirrels live is under threat so I've spent the last four months attempting to encourage them to move into a purpose built dray.

"Recently the squirrel hanging by his toes has taken up residence in the box and I'm hoping this romantic scene is the first steps to a new generation of baby squirrels.
