Being present.

For one user, all they remembered of their father was in the periphery of their memory. A lack of active participation in her life meant they never really got very close.

Staying away because she's a 'girl'

Thinking that dads don't have common with their girls meant that they never really did much with their daughters.

Your daughters see how you treat women

When you treat women poorly, you tell your daughter what is acceptable behaviour from other men. Thus continues the cycle.

Not teaching them the ropes

This one comes up often. With the world being the way it is, dads need to make sure they have the tools at hand to navigate it.

Not saying 'I Love You'

This goes for daughters and sons. Say 'I love you' and say it often.

Moving on to a new family.

Your children should not feel disposable just because you found someone new.
