#1 Girls and Corpses

Girls and Corpses? "Well, if you're like me --explains the author, writer Robert Steven "Corpsy" Rhine-- you like two things: beautiful girls and rotting corpses. So, I thought, why not bring these two great tastes together in one magazine?"

Probably the world's most bizarre magazine in history, Girls and Corpses is sort of like Maxim Magazine meets Dawn Of The Dead. There are pictures in each issue of beautiful, scantily clad young beauties posing with hideous, decaying, festering corpses. As they would put it, "so many corpses... so little time".

#2 Miniature Donkey Talk Magazine

Miniature donkeys? Miniature Donkey Talk is a magazine dedicated to "ALL SIZED" donkeys. Published for 18 years, the mag actually claims to be "AT LEAST 4 times greater distribution than ANY miniature donkey publication!!!" Competition must be tough.

According to their website "if you don't subscribe to Donkey Talk, then you're not serious about donkeys!" I guess I'm not serious about donkeys then. But I'm glad someone is.

#3 Modern Drunkard

Standing up for your right to get falling down drunk since 1996, Modern Drunkard will improve your booze knowledge every month or so, or as they put it: updated whenever.

#4 OMFG

WTF?! behold the OMFG magazine. Not really a bizarre magazine in itself, except for the name of course. The Official Meeting Facilities Guide (OMFG) is a trade publication.

#5 Sheep!

Ever wanted to read all there is to know about Sheep? Yeah, me neither! Sheep! Mag is published bi-monthly in north-central Wisconsin; each issue contains boring articles about all kinds of sheep. Bahhh!

advertisement

Each issue (published in Wisconsin) contains the following sections: Newsbleat sheep-related issues in the news, Lamb Pelts, Live Sheep & Wool Prices and Scribblings Nathan Griffith's take on sheep topics. And that's just a small selection of what you have in store for you.

#6 Stained Glass Quarterly

This classy publication features articles like these: "My First Intensive Stained Glass Painting Course" and "The Tiffany Glass Company 1888: A Productive Year" so it's shaping up to be a keeper.

#7 A Bear's Life

"About the early 1990's there was talk about groups of men similar to us in looks and interests, most of them big, hairy, friendly and affectionate guys, that were forming clubs, a sub-culture of the gay community. They called themselves... 'Bears'. We are happy and thrilled to bring you a magazine that celebrates the Bear Community." There's a mag for everyone.

#8 Crappie World

No, it's not just a magazine that complains about the state of the world. A crappie is a type of fish apparently and the editors of this magazine freakin' love 'em.

#9 Tactical Knives

By far the most terrifying title in today's collection, Tactical Knives covers all of your tactical knife needs. What's a tactical knife? Well, I'll let the experts fill you in: "Tactical knives are knives you have with you and use when you need to cut something. That being said, most ANY knife can be a tactical knife. In today's age of black ops and other military- and law-enforcement-type pursuits, a tactical knife has come to mean a knife, whether a folder or a fixed blade, sporting a blade with a non-glare finish and a black or dark synthetic handle."

#10 Bacon Busters

It's amazing that no matter what magazine, you'll sell enough copies if you just print "HOT CHICKS AND GRUNTERS INSIDE" across the top in all caps. Works every time.

This Mag even features a very Girls & Corpses feeling section called Babes & Boars

As you can see the ladies love their pork.

#11 Fashion Doll Quarterly

A magazine about fashion dolls makes sense on the surface. There are stupider hobbies that have their own publications, after all. But what really gets us is how ridiculously creepy the magazine covers of Fashion Doll Quarterly are. All of them involve dolls in realistic poses, and it's incredibly unsettling. The eyes are justno.

What would you even write about in a magazine like this? Well, in the upcoming "music" issue there are full articles on Cher and Elvis dolls. We can only imagine the type of person that would read this is the same type of person that would read it out loud to their dolls. But hey, there's a Barbie issue, if you care or dare.

#12 Fencepost

Yes, there's a quarterly magazine called Fencepost and it's literally about fences. It's published by the American Fence Association, which apparently has it's own convention in Las Vegas (March 4-8, 2014. FenceTech! BE THERE.) The cover story of the most recent issue explains how residential fences are totally hip now. "Could this be the year for residential fence [sic] to make a comeback?" Well, is it 1955? Then maybe yes. Unless you're actually telling us that fence technology has changed any in the last 50 years. We're pretty sure it's still just a bunch of wood and paint. Plastic if you're nasty.

#13 Portable Restroom Operator

In every industry, you can usually find a trade magazine specific to its interests. To the outside observer it seems like it would be a boring magazine, but industry executives use them to observe business trends and to share ideas.

Then, you have Portable Restroom Operator. How could anybody who works in the porta-potty industry want to have anything to do with them off the clock? It's literally a magazine about how to collect crap more efficiently. Luckily, the entire March 2013 issue is readable online (please take a moment to thank the comedy gods for this). Inside, you'll find enthralling articles, such as one showcasing the porta-potty team that has to quickly set up during a marathon race in Oregon, andthat's basically it. 95% of this magazine is ads for porta-potties.

Then you have the covers, which almost exclusively feature people happily posing in front of a porta-potty. They all look like unfortunately-shot cell phone pics from CountryFest.

#14 Twins Magazine

"The magazine for multiples since 1984!" How they've come up will compelling content about twins for so many years is beyond me.

#15 Serial Killer Magazine

This one has to win the prize for the most messed up magazine ever created. While Girls & Corpses deals with the macabre in a light-hearted way, Serial Killer Magazine is totally serious. We warn you now: If you visit that site, you will wish you were never born.

According to the site, Serial Killer Magazine is "chock full of artwork, rare documents, FBI files and in-depth articles regarding serial murder." If that's not enough fun for you, there's a crossword puzzle. For only $20 an issue, you're treated to insightful articles like "Is My Son a Serial Killer?" and "Lyrics to Songs Written by Charles Manson." Have you long pined for a comic featuring a young Jeffrey Dahmer? There's a mag for that.
