Our body is made in such a way that some things are almost impossible to be done with it. If you are like the vast majority of other people, then no matter how hard you try, most likely you won’t be able to do what we’re about to show you. But you can have fun trying!
You Can Try As Hard As You Like But These Are Really Weird Things That Most Humans Can't Do
#1 The Leg Trick
Think you're good at multitasking? Then try this.. While sitting on a chair lift your right foot off the floor and start making clockwise circles. While doing that, draw the number SIX in the air above your leg with your right hand. Guess what? Your foot/leg will change directions and begin moving in the opposite direction. You can try to move your leg in anti-clockwise circles and simultaneously draw the number eight with your right hand. You know you just tried it and failed!
#2 Raising Just One Eyebrow
The ability to raise eyebrows is an evolutionary trait that most baboons, monkeys, and mandrills use to warn of a threat. Most humans can't do this trick. It can be learned, however, by holding one eyebrow down with one hand, and raising the other eyebrow upwards with the other hand. Keep practicing in front of a mirror so you can learn which muscle movements are required to perform this.
#3 Suffocating By Holding Your Own Breath
It is physically impossible to kill yourself by holding your own breath. Remember when little kids would say they wouldn't eat their spinach and would hold their breath? It doesn't work. You still have to eat the spinach once you wake up. What will happen is that we have a reflex of deep inhalation to get stagnant gases such as carbon monoxide and nitrogen out of our lungs, and even if you get past this reflex, you'll eventually just pass out from lack of oxygen. However, as soon as you pass out, your body will begin breathing normally and you will wake up again. The passing out can be dangerous, so don't try this one at home, or alone.
#4 Licking Your Own Elbows
99% of humans can't lick their own elbows. 99% of those told this fact immediately try to do it. For some though, this feat is pretty easy, and Guinness Book Of World records gets about five claims every day for people who think they are unique just for being able to lick their own elbow.
#5 Wiggling Your Ears
Not very many people can actually wiggle their ears and scientists have just discovered why that is. Unlike other facial muscles, ear muscles have their own accessory nucleus, a control area for function in the brain stem. Compared to other animals, like bats or cats, this nucleus is rather small in humans. If you're one of the lucky people with the ability to wiggle your ears, you also are a smiley person, since the control of the wide smile is connected to the ear muscles.
#6 Touching The Tip Of Your Nose Or Chin With Your Tongue
The ability to touch the tip of your nose or chin with your tongue is a genetic feature. Unless you're Gene Simmons from KISS, you probably can't do this trick, since most humans can not. This trait is considered part of the Ehlers-Danlos syndrome which affects connective tissue, primarily the skin, joints, and blood vessel walls. Only 5% of humans have this syndrome and only a small number can touch their chins or nose with their long, extended tounges.
#7 The Paralyzed Finger Trick
Give this a try. Bend your middle finger inward and place your hand face down on a table. Then lift your thumb, index finger, and pinky. Easy, right? Now try lifting the ring finger. You can't! The tendons in your fingers are independent of each other except for the ring and middles fingers which are connected. When one of the fingers is folded down, the other will not move.
#8 Tickling Yourself
Everyone has a ticklish spot or two, even those who say they aren't ticklish. But did you know that you can't tickle yourself? Scientists have studied this and figured out that the cerebellum which is involved in monitoring movements can predict sensations when your own movement causes them. This prediction is used to cancel a response from the body, like the auto tickle. What a shame.
