#1 The World's Youngest Groom Ever

A 9 year old boy, Saneie Masilela from the Ximhungwe village in Mpumalanga of South Africa has become the YOUNGEST GROOM in the history of all marriage, and he's married a 62-year-old woman, named Helen.

#2 Villagers Are Sickened

Helen is a mother of 5 (ages 28 -38), and believes that Saneie is her soulmate! This of course has "sickened" the fellow villagers. They repeated their vows in front of 100 guests, as they previously unofficially married last year, when he was only 8 years old. Villagers say the marriage has made them upset and sickened by the age difference.

#3 It Was A Gala Wedding

Dressed in a silvery tuxedo, baby-faced Saneie clutched the hand of mother-of-five Helen Shabangu, who wore a beautiful white gown, despite the fact that she is already married!

#4 Pleasing The Ancestors

The couple decided to make the marriage official because Saneie says his dead ancestors told him to marry Helen. Out of fear something would happen to his living family if he didn't do as they asked of him, he asked for her hand in marriage!

Both families claim the wedding is simply another 'ritual' after Saneie was told by his dead ancestors to wed last year and his parents forked out £500 for the bride and another £1,000 for the ceremony.

#5 She Is Already Married To Alfred

The ceremony - where guests shared a piece of cake - took place in front of Helen's long-term husband Alfred Shabangu, 66, who was there last year as well. Alfred agreed to the marriage because he believed that harm would come to the families if he did not allow it.

He said: "My kids and I are happy because we don't have a problem with her marrying the boy - and I don't care what other people say."

#6 The Happy Couple

Saneie says he wants to marry a woman his own age when he grows up, but for now he is fulfilling the wishes of his ancestors. They do not live or sleep together, but he said they do meet up on occasion at the dump. Saneie recently moved to another town to study, and hopes one day to marry a woman his own age. For now, he says both families are close and happy about the marriage.
