Many people are claiming the new Old Spice deodorants are burning holes though their armpits. There have been several complaints but the company says the product is safe. Take a look at what is happening to users of the product..
Your High Endurance Deodorant My Be Chemically Burning You!
#1 People Are Claiming That Old Spice Is Chemically Burning Their Armpits
While there are multiple claims of Old Spice customers suffering from either allergic reactions like contact dermatitis or chemical burns, the company has not released any statements regarding the issue. Manufacturer Procter & Gamble did say that they have NOT changed any of the products ingredients or compounds. However, Consumer Affairs has thousands of complaints about the products, especially the newer High Endurance line, which seems to be causing a BURN to the armpit as soon as applied.
#2 The "Burns" Appear Almost Instantly And Then Blister
This is Rodney Colley, a 23-year-old college student from Alexandria, Virginia, who woke up to find something that looked like "a diaper rash" forming under his armpit. He paid little attention to it until he showered later on and saw what appeared to be burns and skin peeling under both of his arms.
#3 With Continued Use The Armpits Gets A Rash And Begins To Feel Like It's On Fire
As it turned out, the fresh Old Spice deodorant he bought several days earlier was causing chemical burns to his skin. He says, "I got out of the shower on Monday morning and it felt like my armpit was on fire, so I looked in the mirror and sure enough the skin around it started scabbing."
#4 There Have Been Numerous Complaints On The Deodorant
And, it turns out, this isn't the first complaint Old Spice has had on their deodorants recently. This man, Michael Smith posted online describing the burns he received on his under arms after using an Old Spice brand deodorant. While he had been using the product for a few years, this was the first time he had tried the newer High Endurance type. But though most of the complaints site the High Endurance type, which is the newest set of scents, older Old Spice deodorants are getting a lot of complaints on similar burns and scabbing.
#5 If Your Underarms Look Like This Stop Using Old Spice NOW
This man used the FIJI formula just one time, and it left his armpit cracked, itchy, peeling, and blistered. It is believed that the ingredients are forming a compound which is building up directly under the top layer of skin and causing this sensation. But, as stated previously, Old Spice is not commenting on any of this yet.
#6 Consumer Affairs Is Getting Numerous Complaints On The Product
According to Consumer Affairs the complaints keep rolling in, despite the fact that P&G says Old Spice is not the cause of the burning and chemical peeling. One person wrote on their web page;
Hello everyone, I contacted Old Spice because of the incredible pain that I am in from the chemical burns on my armpits from their Swagger deodorant. This product has put me in agonizing pain and it hurts so bad that I can't think straight. I hope this product gets taken off the shelves coz this is some real **. My left arm is so bad I can't even lift my arm up without feeling like my skin is going to rip off of my body. I've never been so unpleased with a product ever in my life, but this one really tops the charts as the worst deodorant product ever made. Thanks a lot for putting me in the worst pain I could have ever felt Old Spice.
#7 Customers Believe P&G Has Changed The Formula And That Is Why It Is Now Causing This Effect
Vincent from Eriel, NJ wrote;
I've been using Old Spice for years! But just this month have I had my skin peel from using this deodorant. I'm shocked! This is new! I will stop using this product immediately.
#8 This Is What His Arm Pit Looked Like After 3 Days Use
Mike of Emeryville, CA wrote;
I tried Old Spice's "Swagger" deodorant for the first time. It worked great until it was about 1/2 done... then BOOM! Like one of the people below me, I thought I scratched myself on the plastic case causing a bruise but that didn't make sense with the INTENSE CHEMICAL BURN that I felt. I'm on day 3 of no deodorant... it's too painful to wear. The pics were taken just now after 3 days of your products
