A woman has recently shared how she's using TikTok to manage her financial burdens effectively.
A woman has recently shared that she's reaching out to strangers for help with her financial burdens.
Elyse, known as the 'Queen of No Spend Challenge,' is facing nearly $18,000 in debt and has embarked on a mission to eliminate it.
Despite her reluctance to lean into the "sob story" narrative of a single mom seeking assistance, she's actively using her social media presence to try and generate income.
From the United States, Elyse boasts an impressive 155,200 followers on TikTok.
She participates in the Creator Fund, a program designed to help influencers like her earn money through their content.
In her online posts, Elyse, who brands herself as a 'money mentor,' opened up about leveraging the Creator Fund.
She detailed how TikTok users could support her efforts to earn an online income.
Elyse explained that she, among other influencers, uses the TikTok Creator Fund specifically to tackle personal debts.
For creators to be eligible for the Creator Fund, they need to meet certain criteria.
They must have at least 10,000 followers, and their videos should be at least one minute long and garner a minimum of 100,000 views.
The compensation for creators in the fund varies and is calculated based on several factors.
These include the number of views, the authenticity of those views, the engagement level on their content, and payments are made post-publication.
Consequently, Elyse is dedicated to creating engaging, longer videos on social media with the hope they will catch viral attention and generate revenue.
She disclosed that her current debt stands at $17,751, and her objective is to clear it entirely.
She shared her strategy: "I use all my digital sales from this page, I use my TikTok Creator fund, I also use other money from any other side hustles to pay off my debt.
"I hate the sob story of being a single mum trying to do all this, but I am, I'm trying to create such a better life for my son right now,
"And I know that money isn't the answer to every problem, but being debt free eliminates so many problems."
She further expressed gratitude to her supporters: "So if you've been around for a while and you like and comment and share my TikToks in order to support me, I am just so appreciative of you.
"And if you're new here, welcome - I am working on paying off debt, I am a single mum, I live in Nebraska, I share my budget, I share all sorts of things here."
Reactions to her video were overwhelmingly positive with many people in the same situation supporting her.
One commented: "Explaining the TikTok creator fund is really informative for this actually. Good luck and thank you"
Another said: "This is kind of trend I can get behind (crying in under ten k 😢)"
A third commented: "Commenting for engagement! Hope you get on all of the right peoples fyp!"
