This unique life journey was the reality for Mihailo Tolotos, who was born into this world in the year 1856 and remarkably managed to live his entire life within such constraints.

While it is true that Tolotos once had a mother, his connection with her was tragically brief, as she died shortly after his birth, leaving him to face the world as an orphan.

In his infancy, Tolotos's life took a turn towards an unusual destiny when he was adopted by Orthodox Monks at a monastery nestled on the serene Mount Athos in Greece.

It was here, among the monastery's inhabitants, that he was raised, growing up in an environment steeped in tradition and religious devotion.

Mount Athos was governed by stringent rules, among which was a centuries-old decree that prohibited the presence of women.

This rule, adhered to for hundreds of years, ensured that Tolotos would not encounter a woman throughout his daily life in the monastery.

As a result, Tolotos lived a life where his conception of women, who make up roughly half of the global population, was purely imaginative, based on narratives and not personal experience.

Without any apparent curiosity to explore beyond the narratives he was given, Tolotos continued his life in this manner until his death in 1938.

Following his departure from this world, the monastic community of Mount Athos accorded him a special burial, honoring him as possibly the only man to have lived and died without ever laying eyes on a woman.

His unique existence was commemorated in a newspaper article, highlighting that his life lacked not only the sight of women but also the experience of seeing 'an automobile, a movie, or an airplane'—modern marvels that most of us take for granted.
