According to a recent study, an incredible 98.2 percent of women find men with this particular hobby the most attractive of all.
Across the world, men often enjoy hobbies like playing sports, going camping, hiking, doing DIY projects, or spending time in the garden. These activities are popular for their sense of adventure, relaxation, or accomplishment.
But there’s one specific pastime that stands out far above the rest — and it’s the one that women reportedly find the most appealing.
According to a survey conducted by Date Psychology and reported by the Daily Mail, researchers asked participants to identify which hobbies they considered the most and least attractive, and the results surprised many.
While physical appearance and personality still play a big role in attraction, it turns out that what someone chooses to do in their free time matters just as much. A person’s hobbies can say a lot about their interests, discipline, and even how they spend quiet moments alone.
The same survey also revealed the hobbies that women tend to find the least appealing in potential partners, and the list wasn’t flattering.
Among the least desirable was drinking — with participants ranking it as one of the top 15 most unattractive habits a man could have.

The finding isn’t great news for single women in the UK, where more than half of men — about 55 percent — admit to drinking alcohol at least once every week.
In a YouTube video, U.S. dating coach Courtney Ryan gave her thoughts on why excessive drinking can be such a turn-off, saying: "I do personally think it's a huge turn off when someone can only have a good time if alcohol is involved or if someone makes this their entire personality."
Other hobbies that didn’t score well included reading comic books, participating in cosplay, and engaging in online debates, all of which women viewed as less appealing traits when looking for a long-term partner.
However, when it came to identifying the most attractive hobby a man could have, the responses took many by surprise.
An overwhelming 98.2 percent of women said that a man who reads is instantly more appealing. The act of reading, whether fiction or nonfiction, seemed to suggest curiosity, intelligence, and depth — qualities that many found irresistible.
Other creative or thoughtful hobbies also ranked highly, including painting, writing, photography, astronomy, hiking, blacksmithing, and even archery — each seen as activities that reflect passion and focus.
Interestingly, many men agreed with these results and said the findings actually make a lot of sense.
One Reddit user shared his thoughts, saying: "The top of the list are all creative, physically active, or intellectually stimulating activities."
He also pointed out: "The things on the bottom of the list are primarily about checking out and escapism."

Another commenter chimed in with a similar opinion, explaining: "Obviously, everyone enjoys a mix, but the idea of a person who does more of the top list items – who makes stuff, learns stuff, and is generally active and engaged – is going to be more attractive than someone who isn't."
But among the advice-filled discussions, one user had an important reminder for anyone trying to improve their dating life.
They noted: "What's important is to do something you find fulfilling and enjoyable. "
"If you are just doing it to impress other people, you are unlikely to stick at it. "
"If you want to have good relationships and be attractive and likable, you should focus on doing things for yourself."
While many users agreed with those sentiments, others thought the entire list was overanalyzed, with some calling it “ridiculous” and insisting that attraction isn’t always something you can define by hobbies alone.
