Finding a spooky basement in your house with red splatters on the floor is like the worst nightmare coming to life.

This TikTok user @unfortunateexistence was completely unaware of a creepy basement at her house. She discovered it only when she removed her house's carpets with the intention of changing them.

Spooked out, she shared her findings on Tik Tok with her followers in a series of videos. Her first video has already been viewed more than 13 million times.

Her first video clip was captioned,  "When you pull the carpet off your floor and FIND A BASEMENT YOU NEVER KNEW ABOUT."

The lady says: "We have a basement, like look. We have a f***ing basement." In a follow-up video, she goes on to say: "It doesn't smell decent. It doesn't smell horrible but it definitely doesn't smell decent."

Sharing updates on her new findings, the woman also shared that her friends had left because they did not want to get involved with it.

Talking to her viewers on camera, she explained: "Just a few seconds after we took the first video there was like a humming noise and my friends were freaked out and wanted to go home.

"I'm not going to go down there, I'm pretty afraid, it's very unsettling the vibes are not immaculate.

"In the middle of the night every single light in our house turned on, every single light."

Finally gathering all her courage, the woman decided to go sown and see for herself. She found an old chair, a bed frame/headboard and the most unsettling thing she came across was red splatters on the floor in a rather gruesome manner.

She said: "I don't know what all that is... that's a little concerning. It's like a tube. A needle. What the f***."

As if it was not creepy enough, it was exactly at that moment that the lights of the basement turned on. Spooked out, she shouted: "What the f***."

In one of the follow-up videos, she updated that there are other rooms that are connecting to the basement, but for that, she would need to crawl to reach there which only God knows how she will get the courage to do.

Naturally, Internet did not find her videos amusing and people suggested that she should change her home before its too late. One person wrote: "Nah this is how horror films start, I'd leave."

Another added: "Girl close it before you release the demons," while a third said, quite accurately: "This is 2021. This is not the year to open that up."

Many people compared this whole setup to The Conjuring too.
