This woman was praised as a 'genius' for her unexpected dating strategy
A single woman has come up with a creative way to find out if the man she's dating is already committed, and people online are calling her a genius for it.
Anyone who has been single in today’s dating world knows that while some dates are genuinely available and looking for a meaningful relationship, others might be hiding the fact that they are already taken. The unfortunate reality is that infidelity is more common than many people realize.
Surprisingly, cheating happens far more frequently than most people expect, and this has made some singles extra cautious before getting too involved with someone new.
Recent research supports this concern. According to a survey conducted last year, men were found to be more likely to engage in sexual infidelity, as reported by Psychology Today.
Among those who admitted to cheating—both men and women—more than 56 percent said they voluntarily confessed to their partner. Meanwhile, 21.5 percent were caught in the act.
With these numbers in mind, one woman decided she wasn't going to take any chances. She came up with her own clever way to test whether the man she was dating was truly single or secretly cheating on a partner.
In a TikTok video posted last week, content creator Dalia shared her unique first-date preparation method. She was seen spraying glitter onto her exposed skin before heading out.
Explaining the reason behind this, Dalia said: "Going on a first date bc I'm at the age where the could be married (Married men hate glitter)."
Her logic is simple: if a man is already in a relationship, he will likely avoid any close contact with her if she's wearing glitter. That’s because the tiny sparkles would stick to him, making it easy for his wife or partner to notice when he gets home.
Smart move? A lot of people certainly think so.
One viewer commented on the viral video, which has already racked up over 15 million views: "Honestly, as a man, that's genius. I applaud."
Another person chimed in with: "Ma'am. First off, you're gorgeous. Secondly, you're a genius. Lastly, how glittery is your hallway? lol."
"What an idea," remarked another, followed by: "You're saving women with this."
"I am SOOOOO here for this level of genius," added another TikTok user, clearly impressed by the clever idea.
Many commenters applauded Dalia for standing up for women and looking out for them.
One user excitedly wrote: "What being a girls girl means, spray that glitter on queen let her know her mans is unfaithful PERIOD!"
Another person echoed the sentiment, saying: "That's being a girls girl,"
A few single men also joined the discussion, admitting that they dislike glitter too.
However, most people saw the bigger picture and understood that Dalia’s glitter trick was a creative way to catch dishonest men trying to cheat.
