Photographer Simon Menner snapped the photo with the hidden figure
A photographer has cleverly captured an image of a deadly sniper who is hidden from his target. Can you spot him in the photo?
If you're up for a challenge, or maybe you just want to prove that you have sharper eyesight than your sibling, friend, or partner, this challenge is tailor-made for you.
Our minds often struggle to process scenes filled with optical illusions or apparent glitches in reality.
These images require us to take a closer look to truly understand everything that’s happening.
Photographer Simon Menner has successfully captured such scenes in his 'Camouflage' series.
He photographed various environments, each with one thing in common: a sniper hidden in every image.
Personally, I would probably not stay around long enough to snap a photo if I knew a highly trained marksman was nearby, especially one I couldn't see.
However, Menner bravely stood his ground and took the photos.
And yes, I'm referring to the camera shots.
On his website, Menner describes his series with these words:
"Even though they are invisible due to their professionalism, there are hidden snipers in every of these images. They are aiming at the camera and therefore at the viewer."
Menner was able to take these extraordinary photos with support from the German, Lithuanian, and Latvian Armies.
They granted him 'generous access to their snipers.'
"I am extremely grateful for the openness I did encounter," he expressed.
Now, the real challenge is, can you actually spot the sniper in this particular photo?
Menner captured this particular photo by pointing his camera towards a tower that rises from a snow-covered landscape.
He positioned himself a short distance away, under the shelter of some trees.
The scene around the tower looks quite empty.
However, it’s clear that Menner was not alone when he took the photo.
If your eyesight is exceptionally sharp, or if you simply use the zoom feature and invest some time, you might be able to spot the sniper.
If you still can’t see him, let me point him out for you.
The sniper is cleverly hidden in a gap on the second floor of the tower, tucked away in the corner with his gun pointed towards the camera.
He’s not easy to spot, but remember, that's kind of the whole point of his job...
